Welcome to The International Symposium on Polymer Electrolytes (ISPE-18)
The International Symposium on Polymer Electrolytes (ISPE-18) Conference is organized by the American Chemical Society (ACS) Malaysian Chapter and co-organized by NanoMalaysia Berhad (NMB), co-joint with Lembaga Pembangunan Langkawi (LADA). We would like to invite you to participate in the 18th ISPE 2024. This conference aims to move towards zero carbon emission by revolutionizing energy with polymer electrolytes. The event strives to bring opportunities & exchange of knowledge amongst mid-level professionals in the field of energy storage and its application technology and nourish relationships among industry players to build a worldwide community for future collaboration. In addition, ISPE-18 also will provide a platform to develop world-class scientist and towards 'Saintis MADANI' where it fulfills the three basic pillars of MADANI which are sustainability, well-being and creativity. Langkawi is favored as an ideal tourism destination, set in Malaysia. Known for its warm hospitality, Langkawi offers magnificent scenery and vibrant culture. As the island sparks its beauty to the delegates, may the colors from this beautiful island extend to the first ISPE conference in Southeast Asia and let the event glow, and grow to become a memorable one. Looking forward to seeing you in Langkawi!
On September 20th, 2023, we had the esteemed privilege of extending a heartfelt invitation to a distinguished guest: Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Tuanku Raja Muda Kedah, Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah ibni Al-Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin. He graciously accepted the role of Patron for The 18th International Symposium on Polymer Electrolytes (ISPE-18). Notably, this marks the first-ever ISPE hosted in the Southeast Asian region. This prestigious event is scheduled to take place from June 23rd to June 28th 2024. The presence of such an eminent patron undoubtedly underscores the profound significance of this symposium.
Our theme for this event is "Zero Carbon Emissions by Revolutionizing Energy with Polymer Electrolytes for Energy Applications". Therefore, it is anticipated to be a momentous congregation, bringing together preeminent experts and trailblazing innovators within the dynamic realm of polymer electrolytes’ application in energy storage devices. This event is also aligned with Malaysia’s Low Carbon Nation Aspiration 2050, which has been developed based on the existing plans in the energy sector. The Aspiration aims to achieve various targets in the energy-related sectors, covering both electrical and non-electrical components in transport, industrial, residential, and commercial. It targets a higher level of urban public transport modal share, electric vehicle (EV) penetration, share of alternative lower carbon fuels in heavy vehicles and marine transport, and enhanced energy efficiency in industrial, commercial, as well as residential sectors.
Given the importance of the energy sector to socioeconomic growth, it is critical that the energy sector remains future-proof to domestic and global developments. This measure is essential to ensure the development of the energy sector remains sustainable and competitive moving forward.
