Server disk space full: database migration guide

Facing the issue of full disk space on your server and need to relocate your database to a new disk? Follow this step-by-step procedure to ensure a seamless transition:

1. Network Disruption: Temporarily disable the network connection to isolate the workstation from the server.

2. Service Suspension: Safely stop the BTSServer services to prevent data locks or corruption during the transfer.

3. Data Confirmation: Allow ten minutes to ensure all data has been successfully uploaded and is ready for transfer.

4. Software Uninstallation: Uninstall the BTSServer software from the server, freeing up space for the new disk.

5. Data Transfer: Copy the remaining files post-uninstallation to your target disk, making sure to confirm sufficient disk space beforehand.

6. Reinstallation with Verification: On the target disk, within the copied folder, install the identical version of BTSServer. Double-check that the installation path aligns with the copied data, and that the version and architecture match the original setup.

7. Network Resumption: Re-enable the network to reconnect the workstation and validate if the NDA data displays correctly.

8. Data Integrity Check: Monitor the system post-handover to ensure data continues to update as expected without any discrepancies.
