Changing login password, remembering password, and settings for software shutdown and channel startup password

Latest updated: Mar 17, 2025
Video recording version: 8.0.0.465, compatible with BTS 8.0 software.

After launching BTS 8.0 software, users must log in to begin testing. The default administrator username is "admin," and the password is "neware." After logging in as the administrator, you can click "Modify password" under "User" to directly modify the password.  For other users to change their passwords, the administrator must log in, go to "User management" under "User," and click "Modify user" to change the user's login password directly.

Each time the software is opened, user login is required. You can set it to remember the password for convenient future logins. Click "Set", then "System settings," and "Fool-proofing settings".  Find and check the box for "Allow remembering the last login password", so you won't need to enter a password when re-logging in or saving system settings.

When starting a test and closing the software, you can also set it to require a password to prevent accidental operations that could lead to data or file loss. Open "System settings", click "Fool-proofing settings", and check the box for password confirmation or set information prompts under "When starting the test" to avoid accidental use of someone else's test channel. Find and check the box for "Whether password verification required when exit" to prevent accidental closure of the software.
